RIDE: Ocmulgee Heritage Trail Behind the Scenes Bike Ride

WHEN: Saturday, March 8 | 2:30-4:30 PM
WHERE: Meet at the Amerson River Park Bluff Pavilion - take the first exit at the roundabout to the large white pavilion overlooking the river. This is an easy-paced ride, that will briefly travel off-road.

Bring your bicycle and pedal through the newest sections of the Ocmulgee Heritage Trail with Bill Causey, retired Macon-Bibb County Engineer, NewTown Macon Consultant, and trail expert. Bill will share insights into building the trail, discussing its challenges, and successes.

Learn about the trail's development, operation, and future plans through the Vision Plan 2.0 map. We'll address challenges, including how I-16 and I-75 construction has affected some sections with temporary closures and alterations. Don't miss this unique opportunity to converse with the people who fund and build the trail, gaining first-hand insights into one of Macon's most iconic and largest public spaces that enhances the community's quality of life.
