Streets for All Fest: A Celebration of Biking, Walking, and Public Space in Macon
Macon’s first-ever Streets for All Fest was an unforgettable weekend of community, movement, and advocacy! From March 6-8, more than 200 participants joined us for eight unique events, exploring Macon on foot and by bike, all while championing the importance of safe, accessible streets for everyone. With an incredible show of support, the festival also raised funds to further Bike Walk Macon’s mission of making our city more walkable and bikeable.
A Weekend of Impact
Throughout the weekend, we hosted themed walks and rides that brought people together to experience Macon’s neighborhoods and public spaces in a new way. The Macon Bike Party: Decades Ride kicked off the festival, celebrating 10 years of Bike Walk Macon with music, costumes, and an energetic ride through the city. On Friday and Saturday, a variety of educational and recreational rides and walks showcased neighborhoods and trails, emphasizing the role of active transportation in building community and enhancing livability.

Streets for All Fest was more than just a weekend of fun - it was a powerful statement about the need for safe, connected streets in Macon. Whether walking, biking, or driving, everyone deserves the freedom to move safely through our city.
